Centriq Insurance is wholly owned by South Africa’s leading short-term insurer, Santam. With a market share nearing 30%, Santam offers clients a wide variety of highly specialised short-term insurance products and services aimed at specific markets, using and optimising a broker network as the main delivery channel.
Santam focuses on the corporate, commercial and personal markets. Brokers generate 95% of the company’s business. More than 60 Santam offices in South Africa and Namibia support the network of approximately 7 500 intermediaries. Santam’s assets total more than R12 billion and the company services more than 650 000 policyholders in South Africa. Santam also has business interests in Zimbabwe, Malawi and Zambia.
